That is beautiful bread! There is still half a loaf of my own homemade bread on the counter, I think I’ll go have another piece…it doesn’t look as pretty but it’ll taste good!

Hi Heather!

I have a Breadman Plus. The ones they make now are pretty fancy, but mine is plain old 10-year-old model that’s still plugging away. I do like my machine, but I would love to find a machine that can do 3 lb loaves. We go through a loaf in 1-2 days, so I have to bake every-other-day. I may either adapt this recipe for the oven so can double it… or look for a larger loaf machine when (if!) this one dies. But yes – it works beautifully. Bakes evenly. No complaints about the machine – my boys are big bread eaters – it just seems this capacity too small for our growing boys.

Oh that looks delish!! I made a wonderful whole wheat honey bread dough last week (I always make buns though, my three boys like buns so much better than bread!!) and now I think I’ll have to try yours and compare the two – thanks for the recipe!

That looks so yummy! I was making our own bread this past winter but since summer has hit haven’t done it. You’ve inspired me! I don’t have a bread maker but I’m sure I could do this recipe by hand.

Yum. I love making my own bread (and, like you, it took me quite some time to figure out what the perfect recipe for me was), but it never lasts long enough! If I make homemade bread, it’s gone within a day or so. Not good for a low-carb existence!
