Newborn Photo Shoot

Post image for Newborn Photo Shoot

This guy gave his family quite a scare with an early arrival, but now he is a beautiful, perfect baby boy. His due date is still 3 days away. It was a privilege to capture some of these early moments.

I think I actually like that one better in black and white. Babies look so beautiful in black and white…

As a funny story, that hat actually is a blend of beautiful colors – one of which is pink. I promised his parents that no photos of their beautiful BOY would appear on the internet in a pink hat. I just needed the texture.

Aren’t his little features just perfect? This little guy is so loved.

To his parents: thanks for trusting me with your little man. He is perfect in every way, and I appreciate you lending him to me for practice.

Good gravy, you’re killing me! Cutie baby butt pictures. I love the pictures in the blanket? It looks like he’s suspended in mid-air. Nicely done!

The picture where you have the babe in the brown hammock (?) is priceless. I usually like Black and white better, but my word, you did a really great job with that in color. I love it.

Beautiful Darcy!!! Great use of textures. Did you place some fabric underneath him or is that a blanket of theirs?

Hi Allyson –

I brought black and white fabric for backgrounds. The blue blanket belonged to baby though. It was beautiful.

Thanks!

So incredibly beautiful, Darcy!

The textures of the blanket and hats make the photos extra adorable.

What a precious foot that is! I can almost smell that sweet newborn baby smell. *sigh* Lovely.

omg what a cutie..

Darcy…i just changed my wordpress.com blog feed to feedburner feed…it used to show up 15 subscribers on google reader with older feed…what happens to those numbers now…are they just wasted?

If you change your feed settings, they may have to resubscribe. If they plugged your blog into their reader by your URL, their reader may find the new feed automatically.

Usually though, people figure it out pretty quickly in their readers. If I notice a feed hasn’t updated in awhile, I’ll click through to see what I’m missing.

It’s never a waste – they know how to find you. :)
