in growing up, photography, travel

Once upon a time there was a very serious bride.

She never had any fun at all. Somber, sullen thing.

Her big sister was also just as melancholy. And vain. Very, very vain. She would never leave the house without makeup and all done up.

Life was very boring. No antics to be had. Ever.

Her family was so glad to unload her and wouldn’t miss her even a little bit when she moved half-way across the country.

And her groom? Holy cow. Talk about inner beauty. What is handsome about a muscle-y fireman that save lives, rescue cats and has a second gig as a calendar model??

Nope. No one will miss this girl. At all.

And no one in her family is even remotely jealous that HFM (“hottie fire man”) stole her away to a place of eternal sunshine, beaches and warm weather.

Okay *sniffle*… my baby sister MOBS is all grown up. She was the most gorgeous bride ever. HFM managed to track down a tux to fit over those biceps and now may they live happily ever after.

This one was taken in Mexico during the vows.

But… she’ll always be a scrawny, leggy, silly 11-year old in my head. As for HFM – welcome to the family.

You take care of her. You hear me? I know a guy.

Love you both.

Could they be any more gorgeous? Kinda sickening– I can see why you’re in such a rush to get rid of her. ;)

First of all, your little sis is adorable! Absolutely adorable! Love the dancing pictures.

Secondly, I ALMOST fell out of my chair laughing about the rollers in your hair. Hubby had to come in and see what I was laughing about. ;D

Mexico is a fun place to get married!

Awwwww, such an incredibly sweet, poignant (yes, poignant – even in the midst of heavy sarcasm – you’re talented like that!), and hilarious post.

So, is this beloved sister living in SoCal-y?!? Does this mean there’s a chance in a million we southern west-coasters get to meet y’all sometime?!?!

Your sister is gorgeous! Wow. I have never been one for the shoulder-less dresses, but she looks so beautiful, classy and happy. I hope they have a very committed life together of love and respect as they grow through the years.
