in Einstein

… will be revealed a little later. One thing still hasn’t been delivered to my house. Perhaps the local delivery service should trade in their vans for sleighs. Worked for Santa.

I have been taking care of Pukey McPukester who, in his quest to be best at everything, has even managed to drag a 24-hour flu on for 3 long days.

We were supposed to start school today and get back into the year. Instead, we’ve extended the R-n-R to allow Einstein to feel better. The decorations have been packed up. Handy Man is back at work (we miss you HM!). The house is resuming its regular chaotic normality – which somehow is less chaotic than the holiday weeks. So now, we need to get Einstein mended and jump back into the grove.

So, when you’re feeling under the weather – what cheers you up?

Hmmm . . .let’s see. I’d have to say . . . a good book and for everyone to leave me alone so I can read it! ;D

Oh so sad. That’s what my two eldest boys looked like for the whole first week of Christmas vacation. Well, except their fleece boy-blankets aren’t all soft and pretty and fuzzy like Einstein’s. They’re old and have balled-up pieces of material (I’m forgetting the term for that) and have been washed a few too many times.

I hope your poor boy is feeling much better SOON.

Back to the school grind here. We’re all outta the groove…

Poor lil pup! He looks positively green. You’ve pretty well hit my prescription for sick boys – lots of cartoons, a cuddly blankie, extra snuggles from Mom and a handy barf bowl. About all I’d add is a cuddly kitty or a faithful hound – stuffed or otherwise.

Ugh! that’s no fun. My two little ones had pink eye during Christmas. No parties for them! I felt so bad for them.
Anyway, I hope Einstein is better soon.

I love to curl up with a book and drink hot broth.

take care

That poor baby! I HATE throwing up. HATE HATE HATE it. He (and you, too, by the way) has my sympathies. I just got home from having a sinus cocktail shot…I have a sinus infection. But what I made sure I did before I got home was to retrieve my books on hold at the library to read while I was wrapped up in a quilt on the couch with a mug of hot chocolate. I almost feel better already!

Poor Pukey! I like to lay on the couch and watch movies and drink 7-up or ginger-ale. And fall asleep randomly.

Poor baby! Something that helps a yucky tummy after it’s all emptied out, and for intestinal cramps is cinnamon water. Yep! Dissolve a tsp. powdered cinnamon in about a tblsp water. Then add more water and heat. It’s really bitter, but it kills nausea.

To get his electrolytes back up make some potato and celery soup, include the peelings. Boil and salt it well. Let him sip the broth as soon as he can hold it down. When he can handle more, let him have a few potato bits with the broth.

When he’s ALL better, give him yogurt with a lot of probiotics to restore his poor ailin’ gut flora.

Hope he’s better soon! :)

Bless his heart! I love how he has all the remotes around him. Such a little man.
Peace and quiet with no little person bouncing on me always makes me feel better.
Extra snuggle time and watching cartoons with Mom always helps the kids feel better.
Hope Mr. Einstein feels better soon!

Poor Kid!!! All I want when I’m sick is my mom. She’s the only one who will put up with me.

Poor baby (and poor mommy, too!). When I feel like that, I want my bed with MY blanket, the remotes, the television, a Coke Zero and lemon popcicles! Oh yeah, a little piece and quite doesn’t hurt either…lol!
Hoping for a speedy recovery!

Poor Pukey McPukester!!!

A Scooby Doo marathon usually cheers me up. Well, that and a big Dr Pepper, but you know I’m not doing that these days. :)

Nothing really cheers me up when I'm sick. But being able to rest however I can in my bed helps. Of course, it is hard to go wrong with Good ole' Campbell's Chicken Noodle soup.

Hope he feels better soon & that the rest of you stay well. (saying a prayer)

So sorry that Einstein is sick–no fun at all! I think you’ve covered all the basics with him: a snuggly blanket on the couch, the remote controls, and a bowl at the ready. Hope he feels better real soon.

Our first day back to school was a little rough. Baby steps, I guess.

Awwww ~ poor little guy. We just finished going through the same thing on Saturday…not fun at all!

I did have to chuckle at the bowl under his face. He looks exactly like my kids looked this weekend. Poor things.

Poor guy. I hope he is feeling better.

Love your school room. We built ours and painted it, installed lights and had it plumbed. Then we hit a stall called FUNDS but are using it anyway! No flooring or built ins. I have a beautiful farm sink — in a box! Our lights are quite like yours except they hang longer, down from a vaulted ceiling. Someday soon I will post about it. Hopefully when it is completed!

Aww.. that is one sad picture.

When I’m sick, I am happiest with SLEEP, quiet, someone checking on me on a regular basis offering beverages and snacks, and a shower.
